Aperol Spritz with a Twist!

A brighter, more restrained take on the classic—crisp, refreshing, and properly balanced.

Ingredients (per glass)

  • Ice, preferably large cubes
  • 3 oz chilled Prosecco
  • 1 oz Aperol
  • 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice (ruby red if available)
  • 1 oz chilled club soda
  • Grapefruit twist or slice, for garnish

PREPARATION

  • Fill a large wine glass generously with ice.sugar, lime juice and mint leaves in a cocktail shaker.
  • Add Prosecco first—this keeps the drink lively.
  • Pour in Aperol, followed by the fresh grapefruit juice.
  • Top with club soda and give one gentle stir.
  • Garnish with a grapefruit or orange twist or a thin slice on the rim.

Serving Note

This version is intentionally lighter and drier than the traditional pour—perfect for early evening, passed hors d’oeuvres, or a long lunch that turns into dinner. Clean, unfussy, and timeless.
